Course objectives

Psychology is the study of the mind and behavior. According to the American Psychological Association, "the understanding of behavior" is the enterprise of this scientific discipline.  This teaching will be in line with the main goal of the Master Degree to furnish our students with knowledge about clinical psychology, which is necessary to work in the field of Neuroscience. In detail, this teaching provides knowledge and the comprehension of the main intrapsychic activities of human behaviour, their assessment and their role in individual homeostasis and social interactions. The acquired knowledge could be applied in those professional areas characterised by multidisciplinary collaboration, in both clinical and research settings.

Learning assessment methods

A final written exam (thirty-three multiple-choice questions, only one answer right) will be used to verify the student’s acquired knowledge about expressions and assessment of the principal components of human behaviour, and their link to the central nervous system.  Each question will be evaluated with a binary score (0-1); the total score will be computed as the sum of each answer’s score.
