Course objectives
module 1 (physics) :
Refresh the main concepts of mechanics and focus on the main biomechanics parameters
module 2 (neurology):
The aim of the module is to provide an articulated knowledge of the techniques used for the automated analysis of movements in clinical settings, including the methods of acquisition, processing and interpretation of data for clinical purposes.

Description and quantitative assessment of the main joints of the body
Biomechanical study of the gait
module 2 (neurology):
- Surface electromyography applied for gait analysis
- Kinematic analysis of the upper limb using the optoelectronic system
- Kinematic analysis of the upper limb using RGB-depth camera
- Kinematic Gait Analysis using optoelectronic system and by RGB-depth camera
- Posture and gait analysis using inertial sensors
- Comparison of the systems used for movement analyses, from the clinical perspective
- Integration of the different techniques into a single platform, in clinical settings.
- Evaluation of movement alterations and walking disability through examples of pathologies.
- Discussion of the relationship between clinical evaluation and computerized analysis: advantages and limitations of the observational approach and the instrumental approach.
